VAR-SOM System on Module Family

At 68mm wide and based on a 200-pin SO-DIMM edge connector, the VAR-SOM family offers Variscite’s broadest Pin2Pin scalability range, with SoMs spanning from cost-sensitive processors like the TI Sitara AM625 and the single-core NXP i.MX6UL up to higher-performance six-core i.MX 8QuadMax and the AI/ML-enabled i.MX 8M Plus.  

The family’s single-connector SO-DIMM interface simplifies carrier board integration, while its Pin2Pin architecture enables migration across performance tiers without carrier-board redesign – protecting development investment across product generations. 

The VAR-SOM lineup addresses a broad range of embedded applications, including industrial automation, medical devices, multimedia, and AI/ML edge computing, backed by Variscite’s in-house manufacturing and ISO-certified quality standards.
